Production Planning & Management
• EO (Order Enquiry) Confirmation Chart – This is the first stage where the factory becomes aware of an order and provides a prospective delivery date which is
then discussed with the customer. This report is further used to help measure how many orders have been placed in the factory for any given month.
• 6-Month Projection Plan – The 6-Month Projection Plan is used to track what the order forecast looks like so that actions can be taken accordingly. The report
is simple and includes how many orders are allocated to any given month along with our expected capacity for the given 6 months and monthly time periods.
• Critical Path – Every individual contract can be found on this report which is used by the factory to track all trims and fabric for any given order. The report is
maintained from the ground up by the factory store department and is treated as a key report for updates on trim and fabric information.
• Line Plan – A 6-week Production and Line Plan is produced on a rolling weekly basis. This focuses the management team on the critical dates for all preproduction processes to be completed. Orders are allocated by the IE team in conjunction with planning by the styling and SMV to respective lines so as to
ensure maximum production efficiency. The SMV that is calculated here by the IE team is also used by our merchandising team to help price a product. This
report is updated by the production and IE team and fed back to the planning team on a daily basis.
• Monthly Order Projection (MOP) Report – A central report followed by all management, this document is updated on a daily and weekly basis by factory
merchandisers and the planning department. Discussions and actions are centered around this report to ensure that the focus always remains on timely
deliveries and respecting customer delivery dates.
• Weekly Exceptional Reports – A further report that is derived from the MOP to help address any major or urgent shipment issues that could potentially affect
delivery dates.
• Lean Manufacturing – The company adopts a lean manufacturing ethos from the consumption of raw materials, production methods and energy
consumption

Workforce
Bangladesh can now proudly claim to have some of the world's most compliant factories, upholding only the best manufacturing procedures and constantly evolving to new heights.
Improving working conditions, minimum wages, and worker welfare standards have resulted in massive investments in manufacturing infrastructure. With this investment has come an initiative among Bangladesh's best companies to drive forward with efficient production plans, new thinking on productivity and machinery, and workforce-focused initiatives to ensure that regional competitiveness goes hand in hand with social progress. This is critical to a long-term sustainable growth strategy, and one in which we strongly believe.
Step 2 Fashion BD Limited is committed to assisting Bangladesh's growth as well as the social and economic changes that are taking place in the region.
The physical and social well-being of employees is a top priority. First and foremost, Accord has certified the building as fit for purpose.
The factory's equipment has the best safety mechanisms. An RCD-protected system provides power. Children Place Limited has a central fire defense system and a wet fire hydrant system, as well as a high level of fire fighting and defense equipment on each floor.
Fire exits are provided through wide, clearly visible push bar-operated doors that lead to high-capacity exit walkways. To protect the personnel within, the building access is monitored by CCTV and a dedicated security team.
All employees receive regular fire-fighting training.
Free Food & Transportation: The company provides subsidized food and free transportation to all factory workers, as well as a monthly attendance bonus for workers with a track record of 100% attendance.
Medical Facilities: Employees also have access to free health care and Medicare.
We have a person trained in first aid and Medicare for every 150 employees.
Step to Fashion provides a fund for a provident facility for all of its employees.
Environmental awareness & sustainability
We understand how critical it is to promote and support environmental awareness and sustainability.
We accomplish this in a variety of ways, including educating our workforce on how to make a difference in their daily lives by reducing waste and conserving energy wherever possible. To reduce energy consumption from the main grid, the factory has installed LED lighting throughout.
By the middle of 2024, we hope to have begun using solar energy to reduce our environmental impact.
We also encourage raw materials used in the factory to be sourced from suppliers who support this strategy and to use recycled products whenever possible.
With the growing importance of sustainability, we are always looking for new ways to promote it to all of our customers.
